Bexar County Assisted Living Facilities Task Force

The mission of the Assisted Living Facilities (ALF) Task Force is to offer education to stakeholders, providers, consumers, and neighbors of personal care facilities, and to serve the community through coordinated efforts to share resources with the goal of identifying and assisting unlicensed facilities to obtain compliance.

If you are a group home that wants to get licensed, contact Dotty Acosta, Facility Licensure Division, Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) at (512) 438-2170 and for Bexar County Issues, City Code Compliance at (210) 207-4084, City Development Services at (210) 207-1111, or DADS Region 8 TEAM V at (210) 438-6321.

If you are an individual wishing to make a complaint about a group home, call the DADS Complaint Hotline at 1-800-458-9858, Adult Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400, or the Texas Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, at 1-800-252-8011.
