Elders’ Advocacy Network:
Education Workshops

The Elders’ Advocacy Network represents a planned series of aging advocacy educational workshops, presented by the AACOG / Bexar Area Agency on Aging in collaboration with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services / Education Services Division.  Our goal is to offer scheduled monthly informative presentations, addressing the training needs of long-term care providers and community advocates, by networking with local, state, and federal practitioners, to ensure that collaborative strategies are designed to provide the best quality of life and care for the elderly in our community.  The purpose of these public outreach sessions is to expand the avenues available for resource development for long-term care providers. Workshops are held in the Al J. Notzon III Board Room at AACOG, 8700 Tesoro Drive, Suite 100, San Antonio, Texas 78217. Pre-registration is required due to limited capacity, and based on our 8 years success with the E.A.N. workshops.  To ensure training slots for your organization, please register with Nick Monreal, Managing Local Ombudsman - Bexar Area Agency on Aging by phone at (210) 362-5236 or by e-mail at nmonreal@aacog.com.  You can also register online.
